This forty-unit residential development reimagines apartment living in Milton Keynes. Rather than the typical inward-looking block, we organised the dwellings around a series of landscaped courtyards that encourage neighbourly interaction while maintaining individual privacy.
Living Together
Each apartment has direct access to a shared courtyard garden, fostering a sense of community that is often absent in contemporary developments. The building steps down from four storeys to two as it approaches the park edge, creating a respectful transition between urban density and open landscape.
Sustainability
The development achieves Passivhaus certification through a super-insulated envelope, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, and triple-glazed windows. Residents report energy bills approximately 70% lower than comparable homes.
